Description: This dataset is an ArcGIS Shapefile representing recorded easements around Peter Prince Airport and various Military airfields in Santa Rosa County, Florida. The easement data around Peter Prince Airport was produced by the Community Planning, Zoning and Development Division, Santa Rosa County for the Joint Land Use Project. Data was developed using the existing recorded easements (paper copy) and inputting data into the GIS using coordinate geometry. Control points were provided by the Engineering Department.Data for the easements around the military airfields was created using the existing recorded easements (paper copy) and inputting data into the GIS using coordinate geometry and the plss dataset from FGDL. After the polygons were completed they were spatially adjusted to more accurately position with the Santa Rosa County Database. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS LAYER IS NOT SURVEY QUALITY - it should be used to provide a generalized visual of the approximate location.Data was last edited July 2, 2013 during the project to combine all the airfield easements into one geographic dataset.
