<purpose>This dataset is to be used to provide vector data for zoning analysis in Santa Rosa County. The dataset is also to be used for planning purposes for various county and private agencies and to provide GIS feature mapping.</purpose>

<logic>The Future Land Use Layer was created by copying zoning layer and assigning a corresponding future land use category. Corrections were made and the coverage was altered as necessary to corresond to existing paper copies fo the Future Land Use maps. Coverage was built and dissolved to derive FLUM boundarys based on FLUM Categories. Rezoning database was reviewed and polygons were created to identify those parcels which were rezoned and then a shapefile was created. </logic>
<complete>The dataset is one part of an overall GIS of Santa Rosa County. Updates are made based on future land use amendments being approved by the Florida Department of Community Affairs.</complete>
